Research: The Human Papillomavirus type 16 E7 oncoprotein binds Rb with high affinity and targets it for degradation which results in cell cycle entry, but other functions in the viral life cycle are unknown. My goal is to study the function of the c-terminal region of E7 in HPV life cycle.
