Welcome to the Department of Microbiology & Immunology at LSU Health Sciences Center.

Our mission is:

  • To educate future physicians in the disciplines of Microbiology and Immunology so that they can be prepared to provide excellent care to patients
  • To train graduate students in how to perform independent research, to interpret and communicate  scientific findings, and to prepare grant proposals and scientific manuscripts
  • To create and publicize new knowledge in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology
  • To provide service to our institution, profession, and community

Our faculty members maintain NIH-funded research programs directed at understanding important issues related to viruses, bacteria, and the immune system.  We are experiencing an unprecedented expansion, including the addition of new faculty members, the doubling of our postdoctoral program, the award of more than $18 million by an NIH grant to establish and maintain the Center for Molecular and Tumor Virology, and the growth of our nationally recognized training program for graduate students.

The importance of immunology and microbiology has increased in the last few years, and its relevance to our daily lives is hard to argue with. Future scientists who decide to dedicate their lives to the study of immunology and microbiology have to spend a lot of time learning new things, so we offer quality essay writing service that will make this journey a little easier. All you have to do is contact our specialists, specify the topic and deadline of the assignment and that's it - you'll get a quality essay of any complexity. Also, just like immunology students, we devote a lot of time to studying this topic, so everyone can be sure that their work will be based only on relevant data.
